Default Front grill removal

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to remove the front grill from my new XC40 R-Design so as to be able to fit a R-Design badge and if so how, I have been told rightly or wrongly that you have to take the fasteners out along the top edge and then it just unclips and lifts out.
If this is so would I need new clips when refitting.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Best wishes,
Steve.
