Volvo 480 2.0 ES 1993 *The Yellow One*
Hi everyone, well the time has come to part with the old girl.
The lack of practicality and the evergrowing responsibility of the school run forces sale, also the fact I just bought a V50 :-) And believe me this is a very reluctant sale :-( And so to the details: 1993 L Reg 480 ES 2.0 Originally Red however in June 2007 was changed to 1974 Ford Mexico Yellow. 145k miles but I assure you starts, runs and drives superbly (This is my 5th 480 overall and all have been looked after and maintained by myself) Car is fully serviced by myself every 12 months (all filters, plugs, oils and brake pads changed regardless)(Timing belt changed October 2009, however I would suggest changing it for your own piece of mind) All original parts and components where I can aside from the usual consumeables such as exhaust and brake pads ect.... Majority of replacement parts used where used have come direct from Braydon Motor Company (shameless plug there) Body work is in exellent condition for its age, however please remember her age and milage the car is not mint but not far off. Car is used on a daily basis (work and school run, a round trip of 8 miles per day give or take) and through the recent bad weather, snow, lots of snow....was as trusty as Han Solo's Tauntaun. Interior is the black half leather (put by myself) and is in very good condition, just the usual slight wear on th rivers seat. I put the volt meter / oil pressure gauges also changed the looms to put the extra rear fog lamp in (looked unbalanced with just 1) Also wed up the rear side repeaters/refectors so are on with the day runners (S40 Style) Sunroof works fine, I have recenly just changed the tilt mechanism so no noise or stiffness. Car also has an Alpine stereo (ida-x001 still selling for £170.00) which is full wired up to take either your i-pod or a USB stick. *Please note this stereo has been sold now - have replaced it with a JVC single slot CD player* I also have a shed load of spares to go with her, and I mean shed (my garden shed) including a rear window glass. (Please ask me for a list breakdown) I have all reciepts for items purcased and all MOT's ect She is MOT'd until 27th November 2011 and taxed until 31st May 2011 What more can I say, well as it happens loads but I won't....should you require more info / details please email me. I will also provide pictures upon request, but does deserve a look in person. Here is a link to Photobucket for some pictures of her. http://s393.photobucket.com/albums/pp19/480-clone/ How much I hear you ask......well I have a figure in mind but will accept sensible offers. Thanks, Eddie |

What-ho Eddie!
Where is Thornhill, old son? My map shows places as far apart as Dumfries and Galloway, Caerffili, Derby, Cumbria, Southampton; any of these, perchance? Regards, C.A. |

Thornhill is in West Yorkshire, around 10 miles from Leeds and 6 miles from Wakefield.
Access best from Jnc 40 of the M1, if you wish to view I can provide a postcode and directions if required. |

I would be looking for £950.00 or the very nearest offer, really, the very nearest as mentioned this is a very reluctant sale.
The car is worth every penny of the asking price, very well looked after, maintained and not driven like a hooligan. |

looks nice in Mexico colour....
Bit out of my price range really.
I bought my 440 GS just down the road in Middletown! Only paid £280 though. Really enjoying my first 400. |

So tempted...I had a 1992 1.7 two-tone ES ...and my mum had a 1974 Escort in that shade of yellow...!
