Wanted - 140/164 black door cards
Hi
I'm looking for a set of black 140/164 door cards, this design but in black: It doesn't matter whether they come from an ealier car with quarterlights or a later one with one-peice windows. Ideally, I'd like a full set in good condition. But if you have odd ones, or some with water damage to the backing but good vinyl, please let me know. Cards with holes for speakers might also be OK - depending where the holes are cut. I'm also looking for the armrests to go with them. Thanks John |

164 door cards
Hi John
I've just got back from local car retrimmers with my 164. My leather seat squabs both have damage so asked for prices - frightening! However, he showed me a Merc he'd just "painted" to quote his word. If the leather is undamaged he said he can thoroughly clean then do with his stuff for a fraction of the retrim cost, so will be checking my spares cars re seat conditions later. So I just thought - have you thought of having your existing cards colour-matched? My reluctance so far is due a maroon car I once owned, where I did the seats a week before a hot BKV, and when I arrived was told my white shirt had a red back.... However, this local guy, who has a good reputation for re-trimming aircraft too, said that definitaly won't happen nowadays. Any thoughts? Paul |

Paul,
Recolouring leather and vinyl works fine nowadays, provided that you use the correct, high-quality products. I need an extra set of door 100 series door cards. They're not for the 164 - I'm planning to used them in my 240 as part of a custom interior (which will have the added benefit of getting rid of the 240's very annoying, brittle hard plastic door pockets). No progress on this, so if anybody knows of, or comes across, a 100 series being broken for spares, I'd appreciate a shout.
Thanks John |

looking for brown door cards
Hello all,
I am a new member in this forum. I am from the Netherlands and own a 1977 Volvo 265 GL as a daily driver on lpg. It is a solid car but in need of lots of small jobs. As a previous owner made some additional holes in the front door cards I need exactly the set of door cards as pictured in this thread. I seem unable to find them anywhere. John (or anyone else): do you happen to have these brown door cards available? 265GL |

Within the last 6 months there was someone on ebay selling 140/160 door cards, he had at least 1/2 doz of them. You may be able to type something like 'sale ebay volvo 144 door cards ' into Google and find his name from that. I recall they started at £5 each.
