Loss of power changing up gears
Hello all
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on where to start with this issue. Car - 2001 volvo s60 t5 181k miles Ecu tune. Issue - When giving it full beans to almost redline and changing up gears, the car looses all power for a second or two, burbles and misfires, then we're off again. First time it happened I almost headbutted the steering wheel lol! Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated! |

Possible fuel flow starvation. Ever change the fuel filter?

This is the easiest fix in the world mate. Your're hitting the rev limiter. Shift 500rpm sooner. What gearbox do you have?

If its geartronic you want to push the + at about 5800 as it lags so will shift around 500rpm later approx 6300rpm. I'm pretty certain the cutoff is around 6500 tops

Thanks for the replies 🙂
5 speed manual box. The problem is after changing gear and going back on the throttle. Vac tested the hoses and replaced one that had rubbed against the engine due to the clip being broken, but no joy. Was chatting to a friend over the weekend who also has a T5, he mentioned looking at the spring in the recirculation valve on the turbo.....? I've also got a new fuel filter to fit when I get time this week. |

I would fit a boost gauge, sounds like traction control or boost cut
