Default V70R Update

Just an update. The IPD ARB is for a S60R, I've checked and it is slightly narrower than the V70R ARB, so I will be selling this seperately.

Those that know about these cars understand why shimming the liners is a good idea! The work has been done on this car saving a potential purchaser over £500!

R Update

The R has just had its latest service with new rear discs, pads, handbrake shoes and handbrake cable. It's passed the MOT without any advisories! Not forgetting the shimming work completed on this engine saves any potential purchaser the outlay of having the work done!

Thank you for your comment. This car has had a replacement engine and has had the head off and the liners shimmed. I have had a lot of work done on the car to bring it up to a standard that I was happy with. When the work was done there was an R engine in the workshop that had split liners that has done only 70,000 ish miles - so these engines can split their liners at quite low miles, that is why I have had the work done.

If anybody takes the time to read the list of what has been done to the car they can see that the car has had a lot done to it and quite a few parts replaced!
How many cars for sale have photos of the head off having work done, at least a potential buyer can have an insight to the work that has been done to the engine!

Looks well... Nick (Yosser) pointed me your direction when it first came up for sale however I'd only just bought another which is a shame, this one does look very well looked after. The mileage wouldn't put me off, in fact it's quite reassuring to know it's possible as the nay sayers would have you believe these can't drive their length without biblical failures. Can I ask who did the engine work... struggling to build up "contacts" up here for such jobs!

Hi, many thanks! Tim Williams did the work - if you PM me I'll give you his contact details. Tim has a great deal of experience and knowledge working with Rs as well as T5s/T4s and the Focus ST amongs others!

Ahhh perfect, yes I know of Tim Williams through other sites and I believe Nick had a work done on his S60R and speaks highly of him. Was hoping to find somebody nearer to entrust but may end up taking a trip south at some stage. Best of luck with the sale and thanks
