Thumbs up V70 starting problems

Hi Folks, broke down last week with my 2ltr V70 estate, has been running great but on way home from Glasgow it broke down !
Was out overtaking at 70mph and fuel warning light came on and the engine stopped ! Was relayed home.
Mechanic went into the OB port ?? and it came up low fuel pressure ! cracked nuts on end of injectors to see if any fuel (none) checked fuel pump and it was the same , no fuel coming through.
Ordered a replacement pump and fitted it today and it still will not start ! It try's but no joy !
Repeated all of the above, fuel can be manually bled through, fuel going to the injectors but same "low fuel pressure" still coming up on the diagnostics screen and still not starting !
Any help/advise or possible solutions will be very much appreciated ! TIA !!!

Hi TJay,

I don't have any particular ideas, but for our info, what year is your car?

When you say "bled through" what do you mean?

After fitting a new pump (was that a new or a used one?) it now "tries" to start, is that right?
Before you changed the pump, did it "try" to start at all?

How much petrol do you have in the tank? When did you last fill up?

When you first turn the key, but not try to start it, can you hear the fuel pump buzz for a few seconds?
There is a fuel pump relay. Have you checked that?

Hope that helps,
Steve

Default V70 starting problem.

As Steve says - worth checking or replacing the fuel pump relay.
