Default Wanli S-1063 225/45/17 opinions? its swamp out there..

As per title, I've got a choice to either keep what I have, buy missing ones and fit, or get rid and use something different.
Currently I have 1 nearly new (thanks to a nail in previous) and one nearly gone Rapid P609.
So I think I'll buy another Rapid, and that's front sorted for now.

Rear, both needs changing.
And I have 1 pretty much new Wanli already..
So shall I buy another one and have these fitted to rear, (total cost front+ rear around 160) or shall I throw it away and have rapids on rear (total cost around 160)

Opinions?

I've been looking online, its one big mess in opinions/reviews.
Kinda like woman trying to explain why she likes/dislikes new Transit van: " because its blue"

Well.. Some time ago I've found a nail I'm my tyre, took it to tyre shop and was told that the rim/alloy is cracked, they can fit the tyre, but they'll be surprised if I won't have to top up air daily.

So I needed new alloy. In a hurry.

EBay. The only option to be bought immediately (for like to like to what I have) was good £90 for old worn and full of scratches. Free delivery though.

On auction, I've found 4 alloys with 5 tyres (one loose, of course)
I won it for 30 quid.. Collection only, 140 miles from me, with car not capable of that..
1 friend of mine picked them up, other loaded up what he could (2) into his rover and brought to me..
Yesterday I went myself to pick up the rest.

Now I have that tyre mentioned above, 2 snow Michelins, 2 worn tyres still on rims, 3 spare rims.. All that not including ones fitted to car.

Want to put it to good use, that's all...

From a few months experience with Wanlis on the back of my S70, they're best off in the bin.

Replaced with Kumho to match the front, but not before the car took out 7 fence posts and a lot of hedge as it left a damp road backwards at 30mph. Expensive set of cheap tyres!

Looking at the list of cars you owned, that S70 was a while ago.
And it coincides with what I've found in online searches- crap.
What worries me slightly (if "worries" is a right word here) is that there is few reports stating that up to some 10 years ago these tyres were complete utter crap.
And after, company started pucking up some quality.
Few state them to be best tyres they ever had..
Which opens 2 alleyways:
Either company really improved quality...
Or reviews were made by people really really running their cars on a shoe string.

There's not enough info to decide without guessing..

OK..OK..OK...
I dug some more.
Destination bin.

Mind you, if I had 2, I'd try them first.
But since there's only 1..

So.. Keeping in mind that I've spent some time on Rapid P609 and apart from wearing a bit too quickly, they seem to do the job..
Any other not too expensive recommendations?

Or maybe any known deals on major supply networks?

Not really recommending any particular brand but all the premium tyre players usually do a budget range. No experience of these but I would have thought they've got to be better than some of the unheard of 'ditchfinders' on the market.

It was May 2012 my S70 ended up on it's side in a field. The tyres were about 6 months old at that time.

No idea if they've changed much since then, I certainly don't intend on finding out.
