I'm looking for nearside doors. How much would you want for yours?
Can you let me know what colour the door is. Also is it one with black or chrome window surround?
Also, what model year is it from; idealy I don't want the later ones with rubber trim at lower edge of door.
Does it have any rust or damage?
Finally, if it is what I'm looking for, what part of London are you in?
Thanks

Default Altenator

Hi there

Would the altenator fit a 1988 2litre (b200e i think)?
How much do you want for it?

Thanks

Patrick

NSF door is light blue with a chrome window surround and does not have a rubber trim. It is an early 80's door and has no rust or damage. I'm in Waltham Forest E17 just off the A406 and M11. The door is £20.

Thanks

I have asked in the discussion column if someone knows the answer to your question. If it does fit yours you can have it for £15.

Thanks

Default 240 alternators

Clifford Pope has just confirmed in Motoring Discussions that all 240 alternators fit and work across the model ranges.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply re: the door.
The colour and age exactly match my requirement; but I'm looking for one with black window surrounds (my car is a GLT).
I don't think it is easy/possible to change the surrounds from one door to another (I have damaged door with black surround).
Other alternative could be to paint surround black; not sure if paint would adhere and/or look right.
Will put a post on general section to see if any one knows if a chrome to black change is possible.

I cannot see an easy way to do this without causing damage; but hope someone knows differently!

Background to this query is that I have a damaged door with black surround; and to date suitable replacements have chrome surrounds.
Alternatively is there a suitable paint, or other product, that can be used on a chrome surround to make it black (and not look out of place to the other doors)?
Thanks for the clarification Steve. The colour of the door I have is the same as Steve's rolling resto' 244.
