Compared with that positioning, my Roadhawk (Volvo fitted) is slightly higher up the windscreen. The City Safety body blocks the top right of the picture but not to any harmful extent as to the general shot of the road. The camera is invisible to the driver and well out of the way for the pasenger.

I would love to have had mine built in as an option rather than as an accessory as I had to opt for. I don't understand the privacy issue. It's never a private matter when you have an accident. All sorts of people are informed.

Mine is mounted in the same place. If anyone is debating it.. Buy one. Buy one now. On saturday someone drove into my rear wing after running a red light and said it was green for him.. dash cam showed otherwise.

I only have front facing and have hardwired it in to fuse #22 in the passenger footwear right hand side fuse box (12v centre console).
