I have the 5 year/£500 service deal. I had my first service in April, the bill came to £192 which I got free through the service plan. This included 6.3 litres of oil, particulate filter, oil filter insert, gasket, free diagnostic check, wash vac and tyre shine and software check.

It states Volvo service plan includes the cost of materials, cost of labour and vat
Hope this helps..

I added the service plan to my order invoice at the end of August 2014. Seemed a good deal at the time.

With regards to any service plan. When I purchased my 2010 xc60 I took up the offer of 3 years free servicing and was given 2 pieces of paperwork. One was the Terms and Conditions and the other was a Certificate of Entitlement. On the rear of the certificate it gives very clear information as regards the parts included and the brake fluid is included. I would advise owners to check their certificates, although the newer offers could be vague.

Sorry, just noticed you asked if it was the 5 year, £500 one, and yes it was.

My car has been great since its 2nd service a few weeks ago. The only thing I am noticing is there seems more travel on the brake pedal before they kick in. They were pretty severe when touched before but it does seem spongier, if thats a word.

Is it recommended that the brake fluid is changed at 2nd service. I have the 5 year service plan so no charge but I'm looking at the paperwork and it says Service carried out as per Manufacturers latest specifications.Fluid levels section -check and adjust the brake fluid.

So i'd say its been checked but would a complete brake fluid chage be advisable. I'm happy to pay if its outside the 5 yr plan but I would have expected the dealer to ask if I wanted it changed, if that were the case.

Thoughts of my learned friends would be much appreciated.
