I did actually. Just so you know, I rooted the product and installed Google Play on it, which brings it all to a different level. Placed a BT android communicator on the canbus outlet of the car; and paired with the Torque pro app on the car; voila, you have tons of new info about the car on your Asteroid screen.

However, I should caution you about the hardware limitations of the product. First of all, the processor is slow and the RAM is quite small; hindering the speed and scope of operations. Second, the android version is so old I don't even get updates anymore, the apps have stopped covering it. Last but not least; Parrot seems to have disowned these products as they haven't been overly successful. (their own updates are a nightmare, wouldn't suggest to anyone).

I wouldn't go through the pain of installing anything new so I don't know what alternatives there are. I would think there are much newer, faster products with more recent android versions. I would personally look into those.

Final note - yes the product fits into the DIN slot, but the depth isn't enough; so I had to remove the fan extension on the back. Doesn't make a whole lot of a difference as I do not use the amplifier of the unit anyway - the car's own lovely multimedia system is still there.

Good luck, please let us know if you find a more recent and attractive alternative.
