XC60 Interior handle stuck?

Hi folks,
not my car as I have a V70 but my brother in law has a 10 plate xc60 which he now has to wind the window down and open that way.
He says the interior handle just wont budge on the inside...anyone got any clues before we go stripping the card off.

My 2010 model only has electric switch controlled windows.I dont think the UK models had manual wind windows so it is either an added extra or maybe a 2008/9 model as I am unsure as to when the manual wind was stopped, either way its handy to have.

Sorry, should have been clearer...it has electric windows. It's the door handle that's stuck, not the window switch.
