Default 940 central locking

I've seen threads on here to do with central locking on 740s and 940s, which raises a question.

On my 1994 (L reg) 940SE estate, there is no central locking. Is that because it is faulty or is it that not all 940s had central locking?

I did wonder about this when you mentioned it in another thread, pretty sure you're going to find that it had central locking, I'd be very surprised if it didn't

Cool. Now I guess I'll take the door panels apart and see what I can see. I didn't want to do that if there was no point, but if it is supposed to be central locking, I may as well see if I can fix it.

It only works from the drivers door, so checking the locking mechanism on the drivers door would be a good place to start.
After the fuses (I'm assuming there is a fuse for it).

All my 7 and 9 series have had central locking, one base model included. Wait till you get confirmation from someone on here but can't see that it wouldn't, wouldn't have thought that was an optional extra?

Edited to say I've just trawled through 21 of your cars on the net for sale and all 21 have central locking, lol

I have to admit I did find it strange that it wasn't central locking. I thought pretty much all cars had central locking by 1994.

The Haynes manual for it should be in the post, arriving any day now, so once that comes, first I'll check the fuses, then failing I'll take the driver's door apart and have a good look.

Cheers folks.

every volvo from the 200's had central locking

I would try the drivers door first and make sure the wires all are ok

To remove the doors at the bottom theres 3 white clips flat headed screwdriver will pop these out then side the speaker grill to the left and off she comes remove window winder (if u have one) and the plastic trim that goes around the door handle opener then the door car is free to be pulled off

the CL is the blue wraped cable (or is on my '92 k 940 I belive the wire colours changed late 92)
