D5 Gearbox Oil Type Hellllllllllllllllllllllp!
Guy's N Gals,
I have just bought a D5 on a 56 plate. I've had the driveshaft done and my lovely new motor is sat on the path gagging to be driven again. I want to make sure I get the correct gearbox oil put in her. If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Just so I know I get the correct oil, if you check and the post is correct, please let me know. Lots of yes's is better than one (and all that) Many Thanks from sunny Warrington. |

He advised me the only way was to replace the hub and shaft as they were stuck and without parting them there was obviously now way of fixing the initial problem (O/S front bearing). The first thing he said when he took the wheel off was ' someone else had had a do at this' In the end I got a hub with disc and brake pads (chucked both of the latter) for £40 and a drivesahft for £120. I got them from a breakers in Preston. The breaker in Preston said that they can normally be parted but he even come across them that won't shift. Fingers crossed, I can drive my nice motor tomorrow. I only bought it last Tuesday. |
