Question EGR mixer cleaned & blanked, now getting "sootfilter full"

Did mine this afternoon and it was lined with oil but not too bad. Cleaned the top hose and the mixer tube but couldn't get to the bottom hose jubilee clip so left that.

I did blank off the mixer where the mixer fixes to the EGR valve and immediately go "sootfilter full", so is it ok to just ignore it?. Not had a problem before so its directly related to me blocking the mixer off.

Either way the gunk has gone.

Blanked off this bit with a metal disk:

By tampering with the system you are messing up the flows and pressures which are all monitored , Put it back to standard !

Talking

I have just taken out the blanking disc by just slightly releasing the 3 bolts and it fell out. Retightened the bolts and started the engine and no warnings, so I'm going to leave as intended, although cleaning out the mixer and hoses is a must and I'll do it annually.

Mines a S60 D5 163 on a 55 plate with FVSH, so even with a good service history it still worth doing.......

Steve.
