Default Volvo V50 T5 Automatic Transmission Oil Change

Hello.

I was reading some people do Transmission oil change every 30k to 50k miles. My car i just bought has not had any oil change since it was new (2005) and it currently have 87k miles. The car is Volvo V50 T5 Automatic 2005. I read that Volvo's spec for this particular transmission is JWS-3309 but i also found online (http://carerac.com/fluido_transmision/volvo/v50.html) that it can use: Toyota JWS 3309/Type T-IV, VAG G-055-025-A2, Ford WSS-M2C924-A Semisynthetic oil.

Now my question is, can i use Mobile 1 ATF 3309 transmission oil? (http://www.mobil.com/english-US/Pass...Mobil-ATF-3309) Its the only oil i can find available in Spain that has those requirements but the question is, is it synthetic or semisynthetic? can i use it?

Another thing is the transmission oil filter. Should i just drain and fill? Or drop the oil pan and change the filter aswell?

Thanks in advanced

As long as the fluid is to JWS-3309 spec it will be OK. Volvo only recommend changing if the car is used for frequent towing or taxi use. I've never changed the fluid in my V70 and it's at 145000 miles. Quick easy check is take a sample and it should look nice and clean, if it looks dirty or smells of burning then change it.
