Change Bosch alternator to Denso?
Hi
Thinking of changing the alternator/generator on our Volvo V50 2.0D 2007 due to some problems. Battery died 2 days ago and the lights inside the car are sometimes flickering. These boys are really expensive :/ There is a Bosch installed now and the Bosch number needed is 0 986 049 071. Or can I get a Denso instead that replaces the Volvo part 36000599? I still have the 120A alternator so the 150A needs a software update/upgrade, that far I know Is there are aprooved webshop with alternators with a good price in UK / Germany and quality that I can buy that ships to Sweden? Thanks. |

Change Bosch alternator to Denso?
Dont know if you have had this resolved. But I just had mine changed on my S40 saloon 06 reg from a Denso to an RTX which I bought from Europarts for £120. All seems ok so far. Had it replaced for £40 by a local mobile mechanic. Volvo dealer had quoted me £330 to replace my alternator.
