V50 AWD production numbers?
Hi
Does anybody know (even roughly) how many V50's AWD were actually produced over the years? I am just curious as couldnt find much info on that and looking around I do feel this is a really rare version. Just for fun did a check on howmanyleft.co.uk and came back with result of less than 80 currently registered in UK - that cant be right, can it? How reliable this website is, can anyone from UK confirm? I mean, sure - its not a car you would trip over on your way to shop, but results for some other cars are baffling (~4000 Mondeos ST220). If the site is right though, V50 AWD is more rare than Saab V6 Turbo XWD, Clio V6 or even Passat W8, making me think it was either very unpopular or very not-desireable or simply too expensive choice.... any thoughts on that?

Wouldn't surprise me, the V50 T5 AWD was a rare choice when new, a standard T5 isn't easy to come across as it is and it's very unusual to see an AWD one for sale in the U.K.

The V50 T5 AWD was only sold in the UK for two or three years around 2004-2006. I remember seeing one in the main dealer showroom in Southampton and it was something like £27,000 so an expensive car at the time. There was also an S40 T5 AWD but that was never sold in the UK.

May be of help...
https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=...lvo+V50+T5+AWD Looks to have peaked at under 100 registered in the UK. Pretty rare.

SteV50 - Thats actually pretty interesting, how the local markets works. Have seen plenty of S40 AWDs on European websites, also seem to be much more popular in US than estate version (although 99% with auto-gearbox, for obvious reasons), but never seen one advertised here or in UK, now I understand why. Didnt know it wasnt officially offered nor that post-lift version wasnt available. It just confirms my suspicions that car was probably too expensive for what it was offering or just simply not good/popular enough to keep selling this version. People probably preferred "look-at-me-Im-loud-and-fast" Focus ST instead or just didnt care for 4x4 version. Thanks all for the feedback! If anyone come across the actual factory-production numbers, just to quench my curiosity, please share

This is what we're missing out on... couldn't even launch my FWD T5 like this in the dry.

No snow here, but I tested mine on rapid acceleration on sandy beach and does indeed take off like a rocket If only Haldex allow to transfer more power, this car would be just perfect!
