Headlamp upgrade (pictures)
The below images show the beam pattern offered by the below set of aftermarket headlamp projector units (H7 bulb fitting). These units are plug and play and feature clear lenses, meaning excellent distance definition, and a super sharp cut off.
https://www.retrofitlab.com/en/aharo...-design-1.html Please note that my camera is clearly exaggerating the brightness, as I have regular Halogen H7 bulbs fitted (Halfords '100%' brighter'). However, the beam pattern as you can see, is very good for long distance. The beam pattern is narrower than stock, but total light output is top class for a halogen setup. It is worth noting that I am not even running the brightest halogen bulbs out there... For reference, I am parked 17 meters/55.7 feet away from the wall in the last few pictures. Fantastic, I'll have to get hold of a set after I sort out a few other issues!

Like the light on the road pattern they give And the amount of light they put on the road compared to the standard "candles of gloom". and perfect timing the "shipped" email + tracking number for mine landed this morning,

Don't be mis-sold by the brightness in the pictures though....it's my camera.
Literally nobody has headlights that bright. These headlights really come into their own on unlit roads....and especially when its raining. |

Nice sharp beam there, most of our stock units will be suffering from the chrome plating blistering on the projector 'mirror' so these units make an affordable replacement.
I take it the screw holes are the same for the mounting points? What was the full cost to you for two units shipped to UK please?

Quite tempted to do this, although over the last 8 years I seem to have got used to driving around being unable to see a thing.
Just not sure how long I'm going to keep the car but I suppose even if I only keep it another year then the extra safety is worth it. |

Quote:
as of 10/12/2018 and they are in the post at the moment dont know what the pound to euro is so have it in pretend money numbers,,,your game of monopoly may make it more or less today Yes its "take 2 screws out , fiddle the 3rd, exchange projector unit, fiddle the 3rd screw in, fit the easy 2",, rebuild lights fitting Decent H7 bulbs fit to car, check alignment, pop to MOT station and Set lights with the test gear they have You can wire in the shutter to the high beam feed to get even more light throw when you click high beam on, or not.

I didn't realise they had the electronic shutter too, that's a good deal i'd say.
