Removing scuffs and scratches
I have a C30 and there are a few chips and scratches around the car. What is the best way to fix them?
See photos below. Ive tried looking through the forums for any threads about fixing paintwork but I couldn't find any assistance. https://imgur.com/gallery/jCJnV21 |

the chips and gouges are going to need paint, and the deeper scratches are going to need sanding on the plastic parts, plastic primer + paint,
Stone chips on the bonnet/front wings , depending IF there is rust there, rust removal and treatment, primer + paint + lacquer Wet sanding the high spots back and then polishing with a polishing compound, Detailing World , a forum for , detailing cars, Does have guides on how to treat the various things your car's paintwork has, its not easy , it IS easy to end up with a Right mess that looks worse than the scratches/chips. Ideally you would have an indoor space to put the car to do the work , let the paint Fully cure etc .

You can do an 'amateur' repair by getting some touch-up paint from Volvo (£10ish). Make sure the areas are clean, I'd then buy some Isopropyl alcohol spray (£5ish) to ensure the surface area is fully free of dirt/contaminants, let it dry for a minute after wiping area with said alcohol, then patiently touch in the paint. Not sure if your car is silver so the touch up paint might be two-part: colour and then lacquer to go on top once the colour is dry. This won't be as thorough a job as Andy suggests but unless you're really cack-handed will make a significant improvement.

IMO worth asking aroudn locally for a well priced bodyshop, if you were to just say get the bumper done they may touch in the chips in the bonnet( worst ones anyhow), lots of good guides out there doesnt really have to be volvo specific, as above detailing wrold is a good place to start. a few mates have had good results from chipex, its on my to do list (not high mind you) for possibly the coming year. I would have a look into that as well
