Can you not get a cheapo job DP on ECP or something if you don't want to spend on an exhaust?

Sadly running a mapped car you can't really cheap out on the exhaust and need at least something OEM spec or better to deal with the temps and provide the flow you need.

Well blimey, thats not something I would expect...

Indeed a slightly de-tuned ST motor in stock Kuga...
highly doubt DP is similar to even ST model but will do some more research out of curiosity.
thanks

Heck you could even see if any crashed V40 'Cross Country' T5 AWD are being broken for parts, though I suspect not.

Bet these have the same DP as yours. Seen more of those on AutoTrader than V50 T5 AWD...

V40 is a completely different platform with a completely different setup, no way it's going to fit on his, it's not even a proper 5 pot T5. It's a 4 cylinder.

The early T5s (V40 and V40 Cross Country) are 2.5 turbo with 6 speed geartronic, with the V40 Cross Country being offered with AWD. Later was replaced by the less powerful 2.0-litre 4 banger around 2015 I believe, which also had AWD for the cross country version.

Not sure exactly how much they differ but pretty sure the V40 is very similar to P1 Volvo chassis.

Throttle body is different, and vaccum line is different but its deffo the volvo 5 pot:

yep, defo a 5pot T5 here. Good to know.
although, Ireland being Ireland, I am pretty sure chances of finding V40 AWD AND in scrapyard are similar to finding V50 AWD

will read more about kuga and this one, just for sake of educating myself anyway, thanks.

to update on my case - I may have found a solution but will know more next week after car is inspected tomorrow. There is a small but reputable family-run garage not far from my town that specialises in custom/performance exhausts for last 40 years. Will get them to have a look and see what they think, stay tuned

Update: found that exhaust specialists shop not too far from me and got my car checkedf with them. 300e for flex replacement supplied&fitted :/
a lot, but with proper 1y warranty and basically "i dont care what you get, it has to work". With the only alternative being sourcing the flex myself (100e) and getting my mechanics to replace it (more money gone...) it makes more sense to leave it with specialists and hope they will take full care of it.

Also got quoted 700e for catback Magnaflow system supplied&fitted, while car was on ramp.
Just for future reference, if ever...

$$$ is flowing down the drain again... meh...

Haven't been on here for about a week or two, and saw it was you and saw the first post and was going to tell you to try Souhans in Trim, but I'm assuming that's where you ended up anyway??
