Wanted pre 1983 343, 340 or 360

Afternoon all,

I really want / need a 1.4 2 door due to money etc but if a 360 came about (one of the below I have to get that!)

I found this car but unfortunately for the £ it had the rust in all the wrong awkard places!

This is exactly what I want, with or without mods. Best of all with the Renault 16v conversion.

Any leads would be much appreciated

Nice looking cars - particularly them GLT's! What's the story behind them? Shame about the one on Gumtree, what was wrong with it? I could see there were surface scabs on the doors in the pics.

Are you specifically after a pre 1983 car with the facelifted front end? As the "Mk2's" run up to 1985 on a C plate and they look pretty much the same other than the quarter light windows, door mirrors and minor interior details.

My dad was not one for keeping cars long, yr at most trying make a lil money extra. He really loved the 360's so he probably went through 30+ of them!
The 3 I've posted are the ones he has photos of that are pre '83 which is what I want. If I could find one would be amazing!

The 340 on gumtree had rust holes all along the slam panel and around the drivers mirror. Plus more minor stuff in other places. Would have looked but bit too far away to worry when I know wouldn't take the money I'd want for it.

That's a shame - looks nice on the surface but that's quite often the case... I suppose it is 33 years old! There are definitely still good ones out there though. The only problem is that I think you may struggle with a pre-83 car as they're rare, particularly in 360 guise!

I do know of an 1981 343GL for sale but it's a Mk1 with the earlier front end (but wrap around bumpers) so it might not be quite what you're looking for.

I just bought a home with lots or I should say 2 volvo engines in my garage and misc. parts I think they are from the sport car model I can send a picture or look at engine numbers. Before the guy left he said these are worth something. Thanks, Peter Oh I am in the seattle wa area
