I too, have had the 210 map for 3 or 4 months now, and have not felt any negative, regarding fuel economy, still 50mpg on a run, 45 avg in town.

agree, 1st & 2nd too short- 3rd though is a good gear for brisk driving.

As an aside, anyone know how much a clutch costs for a D5?? Anyone had it done??

Volvo quotes I've had so far have been north of £800. Parts alone (friction plate kit, release bearing and slave cylinder) come to about £250-300. I'm waiting on a couple of local garages getting back to me with hopefully better prices, but where ever you go it's apparently an engine out jobbie so not gonna be cheap.

I'll report back when I know more.

Thankfully it's quite drivable at the moment, only slipping under full throttle load in 4th and 5th so should be able to nurse it for a few weeks until I've sold my kidney.
