The 'standard' tray with the skinny spare is an inch or two deep on the left, and 4 inches or so on the right. I will be in europe for a month on holiday and will carrying a full size alloy and will, if needed, do without the tray. There must be a shallower tray if yours fits ok.

Must be, i will go out and see if there is a part number on it or something, but this was a police car so maybe only made for them so they can have a alloy spare?????

Ok been out and tray is about 2 and half to 3 inchs high and the only markings on it are PP+T20 and the usual volvo 1982
