V40 R design T2

hello all thought id post i dont own a v40 but had two recently when my s40 has been in for warranty work a d3 se and this week had a 16 plate R design t2 lovely car to drive and the power i was shocked with the T2 but it is a bit thirsty can some confirm that its a 2litre turbo ?

Hi Tiptonjim, I can confirm that the manual V40 T2 MY16 is a 2ltr turbo (I believe with the auto box it is a 1.5ltr version). I have recently converted from my old S40 2.0d SE to a V40 T2 R-Design. Traditionally I have always gone diesel, but I am pretty impressed with the new Volvo engine.

Yes geartronic on t3 and t2 is 1.5.

I have a t3 geartronic. r design. Car is fantastic, goes well and is economical at 50mpg plus on the motorway.
I've not driven the manual car but performance figures are the same I think.

Only critiscism is road noise on some surfaces. I intend to add some sound proofing at some time.
