Default Scratched rear screen

Hi I have a V70 phase two .the rear wiper blade was allowed ,by the previous keeper, to scratch an arc on the rear screen near the spindle . Although its not visible when driving I'd like to polish it out . Has any one used any of the DIY glass polishing kits avialable and if so what results were obtained ? I'd apprieciate any comment or ideas as I dont really want to change the screen.

Regards

I brought a black and Decker sanding mouse for home use, with it comes a glass sanding pad, so after a little light work i removed a stain i had on my old MK1 Escort rear screen, hope it helps

Phil,
The B & D glass pad is like using fine wet & dry paper, so should do the job for you

I know this might sound daft but, here goes, have you tried Brasso ?
I know it's a metal polish but it is also excellent for removing small scratched from glass.

Default Elbow grease required

It takes a fair amount of time to polish scratches out of glass.
A charming local inbred decided to stuff a piece of barbedwire in a car wash brush near us which left us with a new wing, sprayed bonnet & scratched screen.
I used some glass cutting compound (looks and smells like T cut). Stick with it , it can be done
