Faulty Brake Control Module
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and I'm very impressed with what I've seen of it so far. My November 2005 V50 2.0D has just alerted me to an "Anti-Skid Service" being required. The local main dealer has just informed of the replacement cost being in excess of £1250.00!!! I've only owned the car for 3 months so this is most unwelcome news, particularly as I chose a Volvo for ruggedness and reliability! The price from the main dealer alegedly includes a contribution from Volvo to reduce the cost, but this represents a mere 20%! Have any readers had a similar experience? Is this a known fault? Is the V50 forum the best place to ask this question, or can you suggest another sub-forum? Any help is warmly appreciated. Thanks. |

Suggest you try & find a good local independent garage/volvo specialist/or brake specialist for 2nd opinion.

Thanks. I'm looking through the independents now. Even considered scrapyards! So disappointing to see Volvo charging so much, just because they can.
