Advice on reduced engine performance 2014 S60 D4 engine
Hi all,
I just bought a nice 2014 S60 - with D4 engine in very good condition from a private dealer. however after only 3 days of owning it I have got the turtle engine warning error 'reduced engine performance' and the engine warning light with CHECK written underneath from what ive read this error can be anything from a faulty fuel filter to a problem with the turbo, the car is under warranty so I could get it seen to be the dealers mechanic however im worried that they might try to temporarily hide this error instead of fixing the problem (not a well known or large dealership). should I take the car to my local garage to see if its a serious problem first? or should I just staight up ask for a refund ? the car has done 120k miles. not sure on the best way to proceed thanks all! |

Take it back to the garage you bought it from and get them to diagnose the fault. Only then can you decide what to do. Now you've logged a fault under the warranty, it should still be covered if they delete the code and it reappears later.
