I had bought two Nextbase 512’s for my XC90 and the wife’s Mokka X. Paid extra to have A Nextbase tech fit them at the house. Well worth the extra tenner per car over Halfords fitting price.

I installed dashcams (Garmin 65W front, Nextbase 312GW back) in a XC60 MY17 six months into its warenty and one month later had a battery issue.
Phoned the dealers who's first qiestion was "had I changed anything on the car electrics" so you can see where that conversation went. Eventually they changed the battery under warrenty and within three months that battery faulted so again we had the same conversation but at a higher tone. Finally had a good battery fitted (changed it after six years) and had no more issues with car electrics The Garmin was fitted inside the intellisafe area and at every service the dealers moaned about it but it wasen't an issue I have just changed cars (MY24 XC60 Ultimate) and want to fit dashcams as I feel there is good benifit, particullaly the rear, but am concerned about warrenty issues! |
