Default 2014 V60 Sensus Connected Touch Bootloop

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know how I can enter recovery mode? My SCT displays Volvo logo and don't skip this step. If I wait enough time it resets again and again. Before this situation I suddenly stops my engine during factory reset process. After that it don't open again. Volvo service offers me replace all unit. I know this problem solved with new firmware installation. I tried rubbing solution for enter recovery mode but it did not work. Can anybody help me?

Default Do you want to keep SCT?

Have you unplugging the thing?

Not the answer you were looking for but a starting point to prevent it interfering.

I am totally disappointed that Volvo were happy to sell me this add-on then just decided to no longer support it.

It seems that Volvo care only about sales and have no interest in after-sales.

My local dealer says I can just unplug it and bin it. I say that because I'm considering jailbreaking the thing to see if I can get software from the Asteroid Marketplace to run. I believe others have done so.

I know there was a thread/script here re Jailbreaking it. - Somewhere.

I didn't unplug it. I saw rooting docs on XDA forum but I cant apply them because SCT deny to booting. It's too awful choice not use recovery mode for this unit. If it was have recovery mode maybe some devs developed new roms for this device. Maybe Android Auto could be avaliable then.

you need to remove the car battery power first and reboot it .. then make sure it has the latest software before you do anything else ...
