Yes I read up about the speakers being troublesome to change, so fingers crossed I get lucky and I'm happy with the sound!

it isnt the Speakers that are hard to change, it is the Head unit + CD player + amp (if fitted) And the radio receivers,
ie Everything But the speakers

Rethink the diesel option
given the miles you would Hope to be doing , 2.0 /2.4i petrol
as the 1.6 engines imho just do Not have the power for the weight of the car,, And that is worse with the Diesel option due to the increased weight.

Sooo I bought the car!
I did what you mentioned and it turns out it has the high performance sound system! The seller assured me I could play music via Bluetooth, BUT as far as I can see its telephone only via Bluetooth. But it does have aux and USB port (I think, the USB port might be broken ill have to check tomorrow during daylight).
Only concern is on the drive home I could smell fumes... Not sure what's causing it, aside from that car seems fine. I've booked it into a garage, earliest is 2nd November and will get timing belt changed too.

Tried aux and performance sound isn't bad, it'll work for now
