DPF differential pressure sensor
Hi all,
Would somebody be able to post a picture or 2 of their differential pressure sensor please. I have replaced mine, but am stll getting similar problems. One thing i have notice is that some of the ones (used items on eBay) have clips on them. Now the one on my car was replaced at some point by the previous owner, but was wondering if it should have had clips fitted to ensure a more air-tight fit. As a side note my error codes only appear after giving it the beans, so i'm thinking on the lines of the air (being under pressure) is following the path of least resitance and escaping up the side, rather than through the sensor itself... Thank you in advance. Oh my car is a V70 D5 2008 P3. |

You'll melt the sensor!
If the pipes aren't sealed properly where they attach to the sensor and the car goes into regeneration, it will melt the pressure sensor in seconds. They have to be completely air tight to prevent the 600°c exhaust gases reaching the sensor. I couldn't get an aftermarket sensor to calibrate on my E4 D5 185. Tried 2 different ones and neither worked. They gave a stupid reading at idle, which turned out to be binary for sensor out of acceptable parameters.
