Drop your bonnet from about 12" if that doesn't work spray some WD40 in where the catches are.Search on here there are a fair few answers.

It's a common fault. It'll set the alarm off when it detects a change when the car is locked, often in the middle of the night. It can play up a lot in a short time then go months without the problem.

Hi

I had the same issue and it turns out to be a failed micro-switch in the bonnet catch mechanism.
No amount of wd49 or banging the bonnet down will resolve this. You will need to replace the switch (which is a real pain to access) or as i did simply locate the 2 wires that connect to the bonnet release, they are by the driver side headlight housing, disconnect, then connect the circuit using a paper clip across the two terminals.
The circuit is now complete, bypassing the bonnet catch and the warning sign is not shown and more importantly the alarm doesn't go off at 3am !!

Obviously the bonnet open message function is now disabled until you decide to replace or as i have deceided to do.....just live with it.

That’s exactly what I did Steddie. 👍

Darko1429. Simple fix, just remember to make sure your bonnet is fully closed if you’ve been under it. 👌
