Not at all , because if you accidentally hit the lever you get 3 full flashes which is confusing other drivers , if the 3 flash is off , it would barely give one unintentional flash .you need to be in full control of how many flashes it gives . Another point , if you incorrectly indicate to leave a roundabout and find you need the next exit you have to wait for the three incorrect flashes to finish you cant just cancel it .

Well that is not very clever, on my other cars it cancels as soon as you move the stick again

I will have a go and see if you can cancel it, im thinking perhaps full on then off in the opposite direction, or maybe only slight off in the other direction.

EDIT, found the info in the owners manual

This automatic flashing sequence can be interrupted by immediately moving the lever in the opposite direction.

It's called Komfort blinker. I've done it on my 940, but on the new fandangled canbus, I daren't touch it.
Clan, I know what you mean, I have it in my chrysler, makes saying "thanks" a pain. So I just use hazards in a quick blink.
I got used to it pretty quickly.

Mines a 56 plate but picked up as an 07 in Vida, so at least an early 07 and im sure DTSC is on the stalk, it shows up on the little screen when i cycle through it.
