Default Vredestein quatrac pro tyres 255/50/19

Quick one for you guys, if any of you are running 255/50/19s black circles I think have had a pricing error as for the last 3-4 weeks that I've been researching tyres the quatrac pros were £163 per corner mail order.

Just checked tonight they are £53 per corner which makes them bloody cheap, my order has been processed so as far as I know I've got them. Just got to wait for dispatch confirmation.
£225 all in might be pot luck but worth a punt, if they last 12k they've beat the Michelin latitude sport 3s I have on for a quarter of the price.

No idea how long they'll be this cheap for I suspect a price error of some rather massive proportions but who knows.

Thought I'd let you all know. If anyone does go for them at this price let us know how you get on.

Received the quatrac pro tyres today, excellent service from blackcircles, didn't think they'd honour the price error if I'm honest as they went back up to £150 each within a few hours.

Just for reference they are 3 peak certified and m+s (mud and sand I believe). Il keep you posted on how long they last and performance in the dry/wet and road feel Vs Michelin latitude sport 3 I currently have on.

Cheers all

You had an amazing deal ! Did you say the Vredestein have the three peaks symbol and as such are winter legal on the Continent ? I thought they were not which I discounted them.

Also good to hear that Blackcircles have honoured the deal but to be honest, I have ordered several sets of tyres through them in the last couple of years and always found them spot on !

Wonder what your experience is now you have them for a bit ?

Vredestein Quatrac are most certainly certified cold weather tyres, thats the whole (well 50% of) point of them. Winter performance. But year round usability.
One of THE first all season tyres, along with Goodyear vector. Not sure which came first, but they were the first and only 4 season tyres up until the turn of this century iirc

Honestly I couldn't believe it when I saw the price, I'd been searching through numerous sites and comparing tyre ratings reviews and prices for a few weeks.
I can confirm they are 3 peak certified and an all weather tyres not just a all season. I believe they were the first all season tyre this I will double check.

I had Michelin latitude 3s on prior to these they wore out in less than a year, and around 8000 miles were almost down to the min mark on all 4 I've since some about 5000 miles and wear is even across all corners still 7mm of tread pretty sure they came with 7.4 (Il find the figures out as I did write them down somewhere haha) so .4 of mm in 5000 miles isn't shabby considering my commute is all back roads and some a roads no motorways.

They're a lot quieter than the Michelin's and the ride is softer they seem to take a lot more bumps where as the ride was harsher with the Michelin's.

Braking and handling wise I've not lost grip in the recent frost's or in the mud with all the rain we've had. However I do drive to the road conditions not on the limit.

All in all I'm seriously impressed with them. Especially when you can't even get a budget set for what I payed for them, I was just lucky. Some have mentioned droning noise from the tyres I do not get any noise at all so if you do get them and they make noise take them back.

I've just had fitted a set of Falken Azenis FK510 255/50 R19 107Y XL.
As I drove home, windows open, I couldn't believe how quiet they were.

SWMBO has an Electric Kona, and I swear my XC90 made no more noise than that car does.
Even when we went under a motorway flyover, at 30mph I could only hear the wind, and on our dreadful roads too!
Highly recommended!

I’ve run vredstein quattrac 4 all year round until last change when I could not get them. I need to replace rears but it looks like these tyres are available again.

Can anyone confirm if they are the same / still good, or suggest alternatives?

I’m after 235/65/R17.

Thanks

There isnt a quatrac 4, maybe this is your issue? Or just a typo? Quatrac 5 have been superceded in some larger sizes by Quatrac pro, try looking for those.
Yes the Quatrac are still one of the best all season and second place after crossclimate imo/ime.
