I fully agree, but in this case..... I doubt it. Man with cash in front of me versus potential messing about and relisting. I had a target and he exceeded it by far. Bear also that it takes two to bid it up to silly money.

Speaking of course only for myself, I can understand the bird in the hand point re cash buyers. And yes an auction needs more than one bidder....but if the item is good bidders do come out of the woodwork so to speak.
I usually bid in the final seconds.

I also understand that buyers want the certainty of knowing how the sale will progress.

For myself, I was not affected, and, I will move on. Spilt milk under the bridge init.
