Default Rumbling & Vibration

Hi All - in need of some advice please or a steer in the right direction...

On the motorway today the car started to rumble from the front end and then there was vibration - made no difference if sped up or slowed down - thought I might have a tyre issue, pulled over, checked - all fine.

Has done it a few times today but only at speeds over 50mph, then car seems fine - its like driving over rubble strips at speed - you know when you approach an island and they have the raised yellow lines across the road to slow you down - its like that but on a smooth motorway...

Driving around town, nothing, no issues at all...

Thoughts / advice welcome and would be really appreciated - thank you

A wheel bearing, maybe wheel balancing... could be a bad bush..... depends on lots of factors, but thats what I would check first.

I recently worked on a car with similar reported symptoms and it was an alignment issue.
You can see that despite the steering wheel being straight, the passenger side wheel is steering outwards whilst the driver's side wheel is spot on.

Worth a look - thank you

Something that's niggling me is that it appears to be intermittent in that it'll do it for 1-3 mins and then not happen again for like 30 / 40 mins

Check CV joints, engine mounts, front suspension bushes

Had a look around the car, all seems fine - did notice that the nearside rear calliper appeared to be sticking...

Could this be the culprit - could it be affecting the rear diff etc?

Either way, this needs sorting, so might well be a process of elimination

Yes
I had similar symptoms recently and that was the cause.
