Your codes are close to the ones I had shortly after I got my D2.

I thought it was the DPF but it's maintenance free and should last. I also used Vida to test it and it was fine.

Turned out it was one of the pressure pipes that had corroded and broke

They had corroded towards the front of the engine. Might be worth checking there.

Thank you, that's very helpful.

I am thinking about getting the ODB2 With Dice and Vida - is this suitable?

That might be alright. I would suggest getting it from Cheshired5 on the forum - https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...253191&page=25

2nd to last post.

Hey Petey,

got the VIDA up and running and connected to the Volvo.

I did some active monitoring on the DPF differential pressure and also the Soot level in the DPF.

Soot level is at 11g

That test that you ran - where can i find that in VIDA?

thanks

Allan

Hi Allan,

For my car it is within;

Vehicle Communication -> ECM module on the car layout -> Advanced Tab -> "Checking current soot quantity and combustion of soot in particle filter"

Thanks, will try that tomorrow.

My Diffirential Presure at Idle was about 1hpa

at 2000rpm it is around 5hpa

but I will run the test proper as I did notice it jump to around 40hpa at 3500 rpm which is quite high I suppose.

No problem.

Yes, a little higher than mine was at that rev range.

To be honest though, I'm no mechanic so have no idea what those readings mean, I was just happy with all green lights..... hahaha...

Well, I managed to run the DPF soot test, here's the results. All pretty low - 3500 rpm test quite high but all green pass lights so I was pretty pleased with that.

So I'd already replaced the DPF pressure sensor. Before looking at the pipework I decided to start at the easy bit - the sensor plug, and found this:

I trimmed it back, joined the wires again, soldered and heat shrinked it back, taped it all back up and went for a drive.

No error codes, no limp mode, all sorted! :thumb s_up:

Thanks for the help and advice.

DICE and VIDA are a great tool.

No way, a broken wire.....

Glad it's all sorted now though.
