Not quite local but not as far as some, I travelled about 60 miles from MK to Leatherhead to pick up the current V70, I had found it via ebay and spoken to the seller a couple of times so felt quite confident. The critical part was that I'd also bought a wardrobe in Epsom on ebay and arranged to pick it up that afternoon in the V70 I hadn't yet got.

Drove from Exeter to Bristol Airport, then fly to Edinburgh to collect my wife's car (Honda Civic) last week. We drove back, staying the night in Preston to visit our son who is at uni there. Wife dropped me at Bristol Airport & we both drove back from there. The road tax refund on her old car paid for the two airfares, the fuel & the road tax on the new car - happy days!

I am travelling about 400 miles from Edinburgh to London to pick my XC60 up towards end of this month. Will fly down to Heathrow and Volvo are picking me up and will drive it back to Edinburgh same day. Will be my first Volvo and really looking forward to it.

For my S6, about 3 miles to the dealer!

For wife’s V40 and XC60, about 12 miles.

Grandad, my 780, holds the record though. Me in Colchester. Car in Norrköping in Sweden. Only seen it on pics, bought and paid for, sent a truck to collect and brought to Berlin for some work to be done it. Flew to Berlin and drove it back to Colchester when ready. That was the longest journey. Since then it has been driven to Cologne.
