Default Alarm reset

I'm in need of removing the battery before I can start to remove items in the engine bay to clean it. Will I need to reset my remote fobs, once I've reconnected the battery? I know on my ex Vauxhall van I had 10 seconds to remove the battery after I had turned the key in the barrel to position 2 or id set the alarms off and put everything out of sync
Mine is a 98 model with the latest fobs

It SHOULDN'T need to be re-set. Disconnect the car's battery and re-connect it after you've finished your jobs. If it does need re-setting the handbook describes how. I'd tell you but my handbook's at home and I'm at work.

Shouldn't be a problem, the older Volvoguard1 was a bit sensitive if you didn't connect the battery firmly, ie if there was a bit of sparking or something it would tend not to work properly, but it just needed rebooted and the terminal connected more quickly.
