Default Drivers side rear door adjustment

My driver's side rear door sits proud and I want to adjust it inwards so it's flush with the rear quarter , how do I do this ?

Moving the door striker plate inwards I would guess. I take it it sits proud at the rear edge?

If it's the front edge that sits proud I'm not sure there's much you can do. It has likely been caught by a strong gust of wind and whipped open with force at some stage.

What did you do Montana?

As looking at pictures of mine, the back door isn't flush. Both sides.

Our car is away just now but the rear door frame has a striker plate that looks like this (ish).

If you loosen the top and bottom bolts carefully move the plate inwards by between 1mm and a few mm then re-tighten. Close the door to check the gap adjustment. If you make it too far in the door handle becomes sticky to pull.
