Default coding injectors and alternator probs.

I recently purchased a v70 d5 euro 4 on a 2006 as a spares or repair car , the car came with no alternator, and 5 broken injectors (broken by a garage ) the previous owner had it for sale for a while as spares or repair, I expressed an interest puttingnin a low offer, and after a month of him still trying to sell it he accepted my offer.

I called Huddersfield volvo breakers and they shipped me out a second hand set of injectors from a running engine , and they also told me they would not need coding to the ecu. However after fitting the engine has refused to start, not even a try, it turns over but just won’t go.
After speaking to volvo they have told me the injector codes need to be confirmed in the ecu, and then the car will have a possibility of firing up, is this correct?

Now also until I get the engine running I don’t see any point in buying an alternator, so I am trying to start without an alternator or aux belt, would this for any reason prevent the car from starting? I am using a fully charged battery plus leads onto my 04 d5 to boost it.

Is there anyone near me in North Norfolk with Vida or similar who could code the injectors for me?

Many thanks in advance

If it's the 185 then it's dealer only.
It will need software. I had 3 coded at a indie for £75
3months ago.
