Default overboost issues euro 4 d5

hi
i am having " engine system service required message" euro 4 d5.
using the torque app
i have to much boost , so built a smoke machine and split the pipe that goes from the intercooler to the pipe that runs under the car blowing smoke into the pipe that goes under the car no smoke leak.
blowing smoke into the intercooler there is nothing leaking from the intercooler but smoke is belching from the area of the swirl flaps lever no matter which way i push the lever it still smokes, is there some kind of seal in there . any help would be much appreciated

I am shore there should not be air leaks from there,
but it would not overboost if leaking, may be overboot did the seals in,
look at the vnt is all moving freely in the turbo,

hi dave
thanks for reply the arm on the turbo moves freely the amount of smoke comming out from where the arm joins the swirl valves must be a serious leak ,dosen't that mean its drawing more air than the maf is seeing thus throwing up the engine service required

The fuel calculation is partly based on MAF data so an air leak post MAF would result in overfuelling and black smoke.

If you have Torque just view the live MAF data at 1-4k revs.
It should be roughly (in g/s)

1000 20
2000 47
3000 68
4000 90
