Can anyone give me some advice. I noticed oil in header tank then noticed automatic transmission is full of light brown watery oil. It is obviously the oil cooler that is at fault (I think). The car only cost me 500.00 so was going to scrap it rather than pay for an expensive fix. Does anyone have any advice on costs to fix problem and is it something I could try fixing myself. thanks..Rich

Will require a new or S/h Radiator and a engine and gearbox oil flush at best. Not a difficult DIY job on a 940. If you can do it yourself, it shouldnt be expensive, certainly not anywhere near £500.
