Default Mazda 6 2005 1.8 S

Selling my Mazda, bought it from my father in law but now I've got the 850 back on t'road I don't really use it much - and I want to get a second Volvo again too.

Its a 2005 1.8 Petrol, Silver, Base Spec "S" (Air con - that sort of works, CD player, remote central locking - that's about it for extras). Done 124K, been in family for 5 years. Not long ago serviced, Tax for 10 months (I will check exact date but I renewed it not long ago for a year), MOT from memory is March 2014. Some service history, but ironically it was running well until I bought it from F-I-L then bits started going wrong!

Not overly great condition, a few marks on it here and there, light scratches all round. Worst is the back bumper, where we've been hoisting nan's wheelchair in the boot every week - its started to crack.

Had some trouble with brakes recently, no its had new pads/discs at front, new flexy hose, caliper, battery was replaced not so long ago too. Rears have started to get a bit warm sometimes on the way back so I'll see what's the story with that.

4 Pirelli tyres, not new but won't need changing anytime soon.

Its a decent drive, regularly goes to Sheffield in relative comfort. Not actually let me down on the daily commute either - but I've been replacing bits at first signs of wear/tear.

It gets around 310 miles form £50 petrol - which is my daily commute (50 miles a day), lunchtime drives, and weekend visiting local family/shops.

Will get some photos up when I get home and its daylight (may be weekend), but I'm after £800 for it, I'll see how that goes.

OK, have freed up the rear brakes, they are now working gloriously.

Car has electrics all round, I have a spare set of 4 winter tyres for this car too (covered 1 season, around 3000 miles), which I can include at an extra cost.

Mileage is increasing, around 300 a week - I drive it most days to/from work.

Will keep price at £800. Any interest on here before I pop it on the bay?

Cheers Brian. A couple of viewings but no serious offers. Plenty offers around 500 but its got 8 months tax on it!
always honest when it comes to selling cars - don't see the point misleading people, it just wastes everyones time!

Will keep you posted but its looking like I might have to wait until after Christmas!
