Default Rear Crank Shaft seal oil leak

Hi, I've got a 1998 V70R that has a smallish oil leak. A local garage has looked at it narrowed it down to the rear crank shaft seal and possibly the upper sump seal too, they have said that it could be 2 1/2 to 3 days to fix, as its not a car they are used to working on, can anyone recommend a Volvo Specialist in West Yorks please?

Often it's a blocked PCV system that causes this seal to go, so unless you're totally confident yours is OK, it's probably worth doing that at the same time, otherwise it may let go again......

+1 to Luxobarge's comment, I'm pretty sure the PCV system was what did for mine and it loses a lot less oil now that I've done the PCV.

thanks all, I did the glove test about 2000 miles ago and it was sucking in, I've requested a spot at the Clive Brook Heritage day in Huddersfield on 18th September, hoping for a good health check and further technical advise

I visited Evolve Motoring Services near Doncaster a few weeks ago. The owner, Rob, is a nice guy who has a wealth of experience in our 'oldies'.

Perhaps a bit of a trek from Leeds??

Try Drydals in York https://www.dyrdalsgarageyork.co.uk/ - they have an excellent reputation and would be my first point of contact for something I couldn't fix myself.

Good luck!

Would anyone recommend trying a stop leak in the meantime, I have read about RISLONE Rear Main Seal Repair, 500ml? I am now booked into the Clive Brooks Heritage day for advise https://www.clivebrook.co.uk/volvo-o...ears-and-over/
