Only just found this thread. Congratulations by the way

This just goes to show the variation in mot testing. I have a six inch crack on my Merc Camper top left hand corner of screen, it touches both edges. It has not only passed MOT three years running with me in two different MOT stations but passed MOT before this in this condition with different owner in different part of the country, so I'd say that your tester was definitely not in a good mood

Great stuff Chester - keeping our ageing 240's going at a reasonable cost is all about perseverance. After a winter of sorting out various problems mine is up for 'testing' soon with a 200 mile run so fingers crossed.
