Default Clear or smoked side markers

Hi all,

As per title, after some clear or smoked side markers for my 2002 T4.

I've not seen much on flebay and they're around £65 for a set new which is ridiculous given they're just bits of plastic that probably cost around £3 to make....

Thanks

Alex

Thanks buddy

I'm not desperate for them, just think they look nicer on a black S40 than the standard orange ones. I'll just have to keep an eye out as I'm not paying £50+ for them....They're just plastic

I can tell you how to paint it in black if you want a little experiment....But you need to get some with clear glass first...

Personally, if I had a p2 car, I would remove them and tint them with a can of tint spray. The only problem with this is the light is dulled quite a bit but if you replace the bulbs with led's, this should cure that problem.

This thread shows you how to replace the bulbs

This should be a much cheaper way to get the look you desire!!

Cheers for that. I've thought about putting leds in there but spraying it? The plastic itself is actually orange so wouldn't that look a bit.....weird? Haha

No not at all. Many years ago i had a mk3 white astra saloon and due to the lack of after market rear lights available, I decided to mask off the red bits and just spray the rear indicator and reverse light. They looked awesome when done just plain smoked and bright red.

Seriously if you use about 3 or 4 light coats, you will get a really good dark smoked effect.
