  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

Ah bless. It's become hip to have a 'mental-health', and anything brings one on. We must get one. Making him think as well could be 'damaging'.

You might find your hydraulics supplier has it cheaper too, but you may have some very odd threads or proprietary fittings they simply can't source. That's the case with the 5-speed.

One BIG draw for fitting the stat is your ATF level. If you've done this you'll know fluid level is pretty critical to proper running. I've already posted the proper sequence - see piccy. Post 19. It's awkward.

The accurate way to set this is at 80-85° - not easy to get teh box to stay at 80-85° for a proper level. Whereas level, too low or too high, and you'll see flaring. The stat holds ATF 85° all day long, which is also the temp the dipstick wants. Getting the level spot-on is thus easy.

Maybe not a big enough reason for a stat in itself, but be minded. A stat makes fluid level very easy to do. Else it's a faff.
