C70: throttle body part no. 8644346

I need to replace the throttle body (part no.8644346) for my C70.

I tried a seller in UK but they only sent the sensor!

I have twice order refurbished units on eBay from sellers in China (mainland) and they both cancelled the order after a week or two. Which was odd!

Any ideas where I can buy a new / refurbished unit?

My car has been off the road for more than a month and I am getting frustrated.

And they did you a MASSIVE favour. Well done them. Send them more money for their good sense - now go shoot yourself for breathing...

I really would get your soldering-iron and multi-meter out, stop messing about and simply do it. Or learn how, it's not hard. With your sensor in hand, it's an hours work. Maybe two hours for a complete beginner.

Kowloon is full of shops for electronics, a soldering-iron won't be a challenge, else go to Lo Wu. On the SZ/Lo Wu border, they were born with soldering-irons coming out from where the sun never shines. Some one will do it.

If it was free, in time alone any other way still looks very stupid. Lest we think of the cost? And that's before VIDA, if it's required. Working on yours is far more simple. You'll have your car running in 3-4 hours, and won't need VIDA. Unless you're looking for lots of pain, time and expense, can't see how you get much choice.

It's not just me then? They seem to change names every 10 minutes, is yours branded Sacer/ Xemodex? £500 says that sensor was made not 50 miles from you. Now keep it there!

Mine is me7 v70r so it's the Magneti Marelli type with the yellow sticker if I remember correctly

I think they're all Magneti Marelli. White or Yellow label, one or the other is the later slightly improved variant. Or its warranty replacement. Neither last. We need a proper hall-effect.

Sensors used to be branded Sacer, Xemodex. Done 8-9 years back, mine's Sacer. All much the same, the name changes every wet Tuesday. These are hall-effect.

I did my V70 a few years ago[and if I can do it anyone can!]the sensor I bought was branded Sacer.Must be just about the best improvement anyone can make on the cars and for not a lot of shekels too!
